The Challenge


Zetland is a new community precinct within Sydney and the ideal location for Westpac to showcase their new banking experience 'Bank Now', and its new digital offering. They were looking for a unique Christmas-themed opening idea that reinforced the concept of 'old made new'.



The Idea


Outside Zetland's new Westpac 'Bank Now' branch, we built a digital Christmas spinning wheel for shoppers to try their luck, winning a wide range of prizes such as push bikes, iPads, juicers, coffee machines and many other products perfect for Christmas. As the digital wheel was an evolution of the old chocolate wheel, it aligned perfectly with the progressive new Westpac banking experience.

The activation was designed to draw people into the new branch creating an opportunity for staff to demonstrate the many new features of the 'Bank Now' concept and allow customers to experience first hand an important evolution in branch banking.



The Outcome


300+ prizes were gifted to Christmas shoppers creating goodwill at a time when banks were not flavour of the month. A nice piece of content was created capturing the magic of Christmas and shared on all Westpac's digital and social platforms.
